Captain’s (B)log: Throwback… Wednesday?
Sometimes I want to go back and time and tell my high school self to save their money because all that manga is going to be a penny on Amazon in a few years.
That said, I never actually bought that much, aside from Kare Kano. I admit, I always had a blind spot for how much money went into that series. I stuck it out until book 15, when things got dark. That’s roughly $150 I will never see again. Thankfully, my Utena regrets are not so bad since there were only five books.
I do remember looking at Ah My Goddess and Fushigi Yuugi and calculating that for one book in either series I would be able to get three to four normal books. I talked myself out of those series pretty good.
I don’t regret my “weeboo” years in many ways, but I do regret the hole it left in my savings account.
Fall in lust with A Novel Romance, a colour collection teeming with deep, luscious shades that will have you feeling overwhelmed with desire. Passion mounts, and untamed hues fan the flames of your deepest emotions, as an amorous adventure begins.
An impassioned midnight romance comes alive in six Nail Lacquers that tempt you to take the plunge in intriguing nocturnal hues. Royal blue, charcoal and violet lure you deep into the night as crimson and magenta light your heart aflame with devotion. Like fiction brought life, the surging passions of this after-dark adventure seem almost too good to be true.
A Novel Romance includes the following nail lacquers:
- Before Dawn - green grey
- Midnight Storm - deep magenta
- Sunset Sky - mid-tone crimson
- Midnight Strata - dark violet
- Midnight Ocean - dark royal blue
- Midnight Sky - deep charcoal
A Novel Romance will be available starting August 21, 2014 at all M·A·C locations, 1.800.588.0070 and maccosmetics.com. Suggested retail price for the nail lacquer is $12.00 (USD) per bottle.
I think this is the most ingenious collection ever. I love romance novels! And the color schemes of most covers are wonderfully heady and rich—perfect for fall. I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am about this one. I need everything in this collection!
Also, the promo images are so great; I couldn’t settle on just one to feature in this post, so I’ve included the other two at the bottom of the images. You know the drill: click to enlarge the photos. Enjoy!
